Take a statue that has stood in the same pose for two thousand years, and change his shoes. That is Built Different: a marble Roman soldier, tunic and spear, monumental and calm — wearing high-top sneakers with a red swoosh, as if he had walked down off the plinth and into the district. The rest of the print is what happened when he got there. A crown sprayed above his head. Red paint dragged across the marble. CRIMINAL DISTRICT written in marker, BUILT DIFFERENT tagged on the side, the monogram dropped like a signature. The classical and the street do not fight for the space; they share it. The front is kept small — the monogram set on a short chain over the chest — so the statement waits until you turn around. Wear it with dark washed denim and, obviously, the right sneakers. Cut oversized and boxy with dropped shoulders, on a dense 250 GSM cotton jersey. Ribbed crew neck, woven label. Unisex. Fit note: cut oversized on purpose.
