Money has a face, and on Dishonor that face cannot look at you. The print borrows the fine engraved lines of a banknote portrait — the collar, the curls, the cross-hatching — and covers the eyes with a hand. Around the oval, Criminal is written in red script, the only colour on the piece. Read the caption and the story lands: the weight of shame is an immense burden that bears down hardest on those who were once as proud as... The sentence trails off, the way shame does. It is a portrait of someone who had everything printed in his name and lost the right to look up. A warning drawn as an emblem. The print is kept small and placed over the heart, which makes this one of the most wearable pieces in the range. Clean from the back, one detail on the front. It works with light denim and a white sneaker, or under a jacket where only the oval shows. Cut oversized and boxy with dropped shoulders, on a dense 250 GSM cotton jersey.
